Baby with bronchitis?!?!?!?

my 1yr. old has bronchitis and an ear infection her doc. prescribed an antibiotic and cough med.(cough med. for night) has anyone elses baby had this how long does it last? i feel so bad for her she coughs so much! since she got the cough med. she is able to sleep alot better at night but she still sounds so sad and i can tell she feels so miserable i just hope this doesn't last to long.
