Growing up..advice please?
Most of my regrets are not things I did, but things I didn't do: opportunities I let slip by, things I should have said and didn't, people I never told how much they meant to me. Take advantage of every opportunity you can. Time is precious and youth does not come again. Take care of your body and your health, when you lose it, you cannot get it back. Appreciate all of your good qualities and never settle for someone who does not appreciate you just the way you are. The person who loves you should love ALL of you. Judge a man not by what he says (there are plenty of smooth talkers) but by what he DOES. Actions speak louder than words. Learn the art of giving to others. Give your attention and your time, your patience. In giving of ourselves, we are the ones who are blessed beyond measure. Above all, make sure your life is right with God. In your teenage years, everything feels like it's a "life or death" situation. But that feeling of urgency will fade. By the time you are in your early 20's, it will be more settled. Try to make good decisions and let go of guilt. No one is perfect. We all just do the best we can.
