Bruise on the crease of my finger from guitar?

I've been working on a new song on my guitar, and with it, a new chord, Bb (I've been playing for about two months.).The thing is, the barring is causing me to hold down the string with the crease of my finger; it's painful and it quickly bruised, and now I have a small bruise on the crease of my finger where it bends, making the pain worse to play the chord. Will it callus at some point and is there anything I can do for the pain, or am I just going to have to tough it out?
